Steve Park Biography
Stephen Park is a British artist and comic performer, born in 1962. He was briefly associated with the Young British Artists (YBAs) in the late 1980s and early 1990s, featuring in the influential Freeze show curated by Damien Hirst in 1988. Park grew up in Newcastle and attended Bath Lane College of Art before moving to London to study at Goldsmiths College and the Slade School of Fine Art. He exhibited at notable institutions such as the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Serpentine Gallery. Although he distanced himself from the YBAs, Park continues to create and remains relatively unknown.
