Ben-Hur is a 2016 epic historical drama film directed by Timur Bekmambetov and written by Keith Clarke and John Ridley. It is the fifth film adaptation of the 1880 novel Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ by Lew Wallace. The film follows the story of Judah Ben-Hur, a young prince falsely accused by his step-brother and sent to slavery. Seeking vengeance, he escapes and embarks on a quest for justice. Starring Jack Huston, Toby Kebbell, Rodrigo Santoro, and Morgan Freeman, the movie is a reimagining of the classic novel filled with action, drama, and compelling performances.
