Kay Hawtrey Biography
Kay Hawtrey, born Katharine Mary Craven Clark on November 8, 1926, was a Canadian actress. She began her career at Hart House Theatre before going to England for a year's engagement with the Embassy Theatre in London. Upon returning to Canada, Hawtrey appeared in television plays for the CBC. In 1956, she married English actor John Clark and later moved to New York City. They had a son named Jonathan Hawtrey Clark before divorcing in 1967. Hawtrey appeared in numerous film and television productions, with her most notable role being in the 1980 film Funeral Home. She also appeared in the Broadway play Love and Libel in 1960. Kay Hawtrey passed away in Toronto on June 11, 2021, at the age of 94.
